About Gibraltar Falls
Gibraltar Falls is located some 50km (45mins) from Canberra in the ACT. It is a 50 metre cascade down to the Gibraltar creek. There are several good places to photograph parts of the falls, but very few that cover the entire set of falls.

How I photographed Gibraltar Falls
What I took - what was in my kit
I took my LowePro Backpack loaded with Canon 5DS R body, Canon 16-35mm zoom, Manfrotto 190 Tripod, and of course a range of lens wipes, spare batteries, sunscreen and bug repellant. I also took the drone. I tended to shoot 28-35mm.
Techniques
As with any waterfall, slowing the shutter speed down to something around 1/4 to 2 seconds will blur the water and create that soft water style.
Other things to look out for
The falls are located within the Tidbinbilla Sanctuary. Nearby are the Lanyon Homestead, Lambrigg's Lookout, John's Peak, and of course the Tidbinbilla Tracking Station aka Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex at 421 Discovery Drive, Paddy's River.

How to get there
The falls are about 45mins drive from Canberra. I am not aware of any public transport to the site. It is not a hard drive though, as Canberra is well served with freeways. My suggestion is to take a loop going from Canberra to Tuggeranong, Woodcock Drive, Point Hut Rd / Tidbinbilla Rd, then up Corin Rd to the Falls. On the return trip though, once Corin Rd hits Tidbinbilla Rd, turn left and follow the road up past Cotter Dam and back to the city via Cotter Rd. There are several good photographic points along this road.
Best time to visit
Canberra has hot summers and cold winters. It is one of the few places in Australia where it actually snows during winter (only once or twice every few winters - but still). I suggest anytime that you happen to be in Canberra is reasonably good time to visit the falls. It is clearly nicer on a hot summers day - but this is also when lots of people will visit the falls. So "off-peak" is better for photography.
Accessability
I can't recall the trip from the car park to the falls. I do recall a well constructed viewing platform.
Where to stay
There may be some Bed & Breakfast or Air BNB out near the falls - but I would stay in one of the many options in Canberra itself.
