How to Get There

Follow the signed road past the Penguin Parade towards the western tip of Phillip Island and park at The Nobbies. Explore only the open boardwalk sections; do not stop on roads where parking is prohibited.

Current Access / Conditions

September 2026: Phillip Island Nature Parks reports the Nobbies boardwalks and car park open, but the Nobbies Centre, café and toilets closed. Check its current visitor notice before departure. Do not park along The Boulevard where stopping is prohibited.

Best Time to Visit

Late afternoon offers low-angle coastal light, but the boardwalk is also productive in dramatic overcast weather. The blowhole is most active with suitable swell; avoid exposed areas during dangerous weather.

Accessibility

The upper boardwalk provides relatively easy viewing; lower sections include steps. Wind and spray can make exposed sections uncomfortable, and some viewpoints may be unsuitable for visitors with limited mobility.
